New Books Rock!

It’s that time of year where we’re ramping up to our biggest convention appearances and so we’re working on a lot of exciting projects that I can’t talk about. I can talk about two of new books that are on their way to our warehouses now, though:

LFG vol 9
Looking for Group: Volume 9 (Hardcover Edition) collects issues #33-37 of the continuing adventures of Richard and the rest as they past comes back to raise more questions than it answers and to shoot the present in the throat with an arrow.
Forward by Naomi Novik, author of the Temeraire fantasy/alternate history series and Uprooted, a standalone fantasy novel soon to be a motion picture produced by Ellen DeGeneres.

TDA vol 2
If you can’t have enough Tiny Dick, good news! He’s back for another round of adventures. In case you were wondering, a round is made up of 60-62 adventures. Math! TDA volume 2 is written by Ryan Sohmer and illustrated by Ryan Dunlavey.

We don’t want to announce exactly when specifically to expect them because a lot can happen to books on a boat. I’ve seen Vin Diesel’s xXx. I can say that they’re shipping with a third LFG book and  you will not be able to guess what it is. Like, there’s the most obvious book you could be thinking, and you should all have eliminated that as too obvious since you were told you’d never guess it. If you think I was saying that so no one would guess the obvious, you underestimate how many people would guess the obvious anyway because they can’t think of something else but want to participate. Feel free to throw your sincere guesses into the comments below. Or your insincere guesses, that could be fun, too. I have to say that I can’t tell you if you’re right before the book comes out, but if anyone manages to guess this unguessable guess, I will give you props in a future blog post.

Looking forward to seeing how close and how far those guesses get, honestly. Until then, here are the top comments for June 5th to June 16th, 2017.

LFG 1093
David Koch
They escaped the death star, but didn’t realise Darth Vadar left a tracking device on them to flush out the rest of the rebel alliance.

Shemp Howard
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
but there is no joy in the party — Fwooshy Richard got knocked out.

Jorge Vampyona
Does Richard want to leave the Kethenecia agreement, too?

TDA 173
Marietta McCoy
And all this time, I thought the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was persuading Eve to eat the Forbidden Fruit. After all, that was the beginning of the Fashion Industry, which led to expensive clothes, sweatshops and shoddy workmanship.

Garry Cylon
“Because the Planet is trying to burn you off like a virus”
(Jealous subtext, “And doing a better job of it than I ever have”) *Kicks pulpit*…. 😛

John Daly
Now speaking at “Our Lady of Perpetual Doves on Fire”, Tiny Deacon Dick.

LFG 1094
Garry Cylon
Wise words to grow up with Charles….
But your face in the last panel says you understood, all too well :O

Eduardo Uchoa
Why do I think this is a death flag for Charles? Maybe he’ll die trying to protect Richard from something and his first and last words will be “I love you…daddy”

Tue Elung-Jensen
Charles is going to be a wise king some day … a murderous psychotic king, but also a wise king. Wise is the same as paranoid, right?

Tyler Worthington
This has been another episode of “Parenting with a Warlock”.

LFG 1095
Mikeal Blackford
What about his Spork of Utility? That thing is *always* useful, albeit not necessarily the best tool for the job.
…Much like Richard.

Kieran Green
Seek the Spork of Fake News. It’s pretty clear that’s way more powerful than the Fork of Truth.

Sara Finn
Is it just me, or do I see a certain NPC goblet coming back into play somehow?

TDA 174
Speedy Marsh
Just another cardiac arrest.

Alexandre Cauchon
Is the mustache cop on Richard’s side or mustachless cop slept with his wife and found a gambit?

Bradley Hakenson
Am I the only one that can picture him saying that in the voice of Tommy Wiseau from The room. “I did not murder that man! it’s not true! It’s bullshit! I did not murder him! I did not! Oh hi Cale.”

LFG 1096
Kenneth Wong
I’m not the only one that still cracks up at every utensil of credibility joke despite how many times I heard it, right? Or is there something wrong with me?

John Belrose
So it is written, so it shall be.

Janine Susan Lathrop Velasquez
All the best lies start with the grain of truth. It is the irritant that produces the pearls of lies with the most LUSTER inside the oyster of the world.
